About Carrie Bachman

Carrie Bachman has more than 25 years culinary public relations experience. She is currently president of Carrie Bachman Public Relations, a boutique firm specializing in cookbook and gourmet product publicity. From 1996-2006, Carrie was Director of Publicity for Cookbooks and Lifestyle at HarperCollins/William Morrow where she publicized over 500 cookbooks written by top selling authors including Mario Batali, Julia Child, Marcella Hazan, Emeril Lagasse, Alice Waters and Patricia Wells. From 1992 – 1996, Carrie was a publicist at Hunter Public Relations, where she represented premier brands including Kraft Foods, Mcllhenny Company (Tabasco) and Hagen Dazs.

Carrie’s vast accomplishments include creating special events and book signings, spearheading national and satellite media tours, obtaining nationwide print and radio coverage for her many clients on premier media outlets including Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Food Network, People, Food & Wine, Gourmet, USA Weekend, Glamour, New York Times and New York Times Magazine. Carrie has also launched many bestselling cookbooks including Emeril’s Creole Christmas, Every Day’s A Party, Emeril’s TV Dinners, and Prime Time Emeril, Ina Garten’s Back to Basics, Georgia Cooking by Trish Yearwood, Ellie Krieger’s The Food You Crave, BabyCakes, Giada’s Kitchen, Rachael Ray’s Just in Time and Rachael Ray’s Big Orange Cookbook.

Carrie is an active member of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, the James Beard Foundation, International Association of Culinary Professionals and Cookies For Kids Cancer. She studied culinary arts at the Institute or Culinary Education and The New School and earned her B.A. in communications with a concentration in public relations and marketing at the University of Delaware.
